Spybot S & D

Trying to follow the "Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal" I downloaded & installed Spybot - when I try to search for updates I get the message "The external update application has been corrupted. Please make sure you download the "updater" update to replace it. Where do I download this "updater" update from?

 

I've noticed that since yesterday the Spybot S&D download posting has
changed three times. First it was 1.3.2b Final then 1.3.2b Beta and now it's
1.3.1tx.Whats going on? When I downloaded it was listed as 1.3.2b Final.

 

Looks like 1.3.1tx is the latest version. See MG front page for link. Maybe they found something critical that had to be fixed pronto and released new version. Baz

That's the version that I downloaded and installed. The problem is that it doesn't work. Are there previous versions available somewhere?

 

Spybot were recently experiencing problems with the internet update due to the number of users and were changing servers, but that was a month ago so I don't know if it's related to your problem.

You could try a manual update available HERE (Direct link).

If that fails, try completely uninstalling and reinstalling the application.

 

Latest version 1.3.1tx works for me. Maybe uninstall, download again and re-install. Also check for latest updates to get it right up-to-date. Just updating, right now, myself. Bazza
