Spybot unprotected items

Hi

Spybot tells me I have 1015 unprotected items for internet explorer, these are 145 in each of the domains and secure domains areas of IE 32 bit, IE32/64 bit, IE 64 bit and in windows global hosts (I could supply a screen dump if required).
I use Firefox unless at any time I have been unable to.

I am running Vista home premium 32 bit SP2 and I believe everything is up to date.
I run AVG free, updated daily, spywareblaster and spybot every few days or so.
I recently updated IE as I thought that may be it as I don't use it much, I have also repaired.

I have researched this a bit to give the sort of information others give on this website, but I am not very techy..(in case I sounded it!)rolleyes

I am concerned that I am open to attack.. Can anyone help?

Down the left hand side of the Spybot page is Immunize. Click on that.
From the screen that pops up, click on the heading +Immunize. This will bring your protection up-to-date.

If you like, click on the Check again heading for a further check.

These steps bring your protection up-to-date and should put your mind at rest.

Thanks for the tip.
Every few days or so I launch Spybot, update, immunise, check again, run the scan and still they are there.. any more ideas?rolleyes

 

Since you said you run Vista, right click on the shortcut go down to "Run as administrator" then when spybot opens run a immunization. Hopefully that should help you out.
