Spybot Updates

Hi,when spybot releases a new version,is it necessary to uninstall the previous version or does it upgrade to the newest version when you get updates?
This is the first time i`ve used spybot at all,and i`m starting with version 1.3 beta 6.

it installs the upgrades for you so there is no need to uninstall.

 

why? maybe if you download the full program everytime, but if it auto installs the updates, then I don't see any reason to uninstall the full program everytime it needs updated.

Before I forget I did not have any problems installing over top of previous beta.Do note that scanning spy bot files have increased by couple thousand now up to approx.12000+ which resuults in a longer scan
