 Recently converted from IE to Firefox and ever since Spybot S&D regularly freezes the system. I've uninstalled, downloaded and reinstalled (unchecking the IE protection) but it still is unuseable. Is it not compatible with Firefox? Any info would be helpful.
    Thanks,

Spybot S&D definitely works with Firefox.
I recommend that you uninstall Spybot, run CCleaner to remove temp files, and re-install. It might also not be a bad idea to clean files with Firefox. To do so, select 'Options' from the Tools menu. Press 'Privacy'. With this you can clear all sorts of temp files and page caches that Firefox stores

If that doesn't work, I would uninstall, run a registry cleaner such as Lexun regScrub XP, re-run CCleaner, and try to install again.

Haven't cleared the cache on Firefox before. I'll do that. Thanks!

You were right! Downloading and using a registry cleaner did the trick... now SpybotS&D works like a charm. Thank you so much! ;)
