I have a Dell Inspiron 700m computer running XP2, and I got infected with the SpyFalcon bug because I did something stupid on the net. I first enlisted the help of a neighbor who is a part time geek, and we spent an hour or so trying to get rid of the booger on our own using AdAware, Spyware Blaster, Spybot, and Browser Hack Recover. Then off to bed. Woke up in the am, turned on my computer and the booger was back.

Using Anyhow, I googled and discovered Major Geeks and followed the instructions for spyware removal. I removed 4 files: atmclk.exe; regperf.exe; simpole.tlb; and stdole3.tlb. Attached is my smitfiles.txt log.

So far so good, but it's early. I will post more if the booger comes back.
