    I never gave pest Patrol a look. I guess I read a bad review about it somewhere. I can't remember. But its too late because I already signed on with spysweeper for 2 years but with the coupon it was only like $26 bucks. Can't beat that I guess. ;)

    i've only tried the free trial version of Spy Sweeper but i was very impressed with its scanning capabilities (found alot of stuff Adaware/Spybot missed) and i thought it had a nice interface... great program in my book

    Thats easy to do. Just call things spyware that arent. They all do it. Hey, blow your money, I use free ad-aware and Spyware Blaster and dont get infected. :)

    I use Spyware Blaster, Spyware Guard, and the Spybot S&D IE BHO (but not Teatimer... I hate Teatimer). I run Ad Aware scans and Spybot scans weekly, and they always come up with no results. Not even ad cookies.

    I also use HiJackThis about every other week for pure diagnostic reasons.

    I do similar to you Da Chicken & MA, apart from I dont feel the need for SB S&D ( personal pref ) with a scan from A2 thrown in for good measure and ( insert I'm going to get infected now ) have thankfully never had either virus or spyware, maybe down to the fact I read up on new expolits alot and know everything thats installed on my PC I have recearched first before installing and keep whtever OS I'm using upto date at least with security updates/patches.


    I think the best advice is GET TO KNOW YOUR PC and checkout forums like Majorgeeks etc etc as you get to see what the latest spyware making the rounds is and hopefully a fix ;)
