This one is a real pain, Give this a shot.

Close all Internet Explorer windows and goto "Start"--> "Run" and type in :
    taskmgr ,then click " OK".
Then highlight each file below and then click "End Process":

    apiat32.exe

    syskh32.exe

    Next
Goto "Start" --> "Run" and type in:
    Services.msc ,then click " OK".
Scroll down and find the service called "Network Security Service".
    Double-click on it.
In the next window that opens, click the Stop button, then change the Startup Type to Disabled.Click "Apply" and then "OK".

Let us know if "Network Security Service" is listed.

    3.
Close ALL Internet Explorer Windows, only have HijackThis running.
In HiJackThis Check the boxes beside the below entries, then click on "Fix checked" .

Note: I could not find the ipps32.dll file or a few things noted to delete in HJT I had ran Ad-aware b4 doing what you had told me so maybe it found and deleted them.

You did not just run Ad-aware, you also ran HSremove. Which item fixed it remains to be seen.

  8. Major Attitude

Problem is, HSRemove seems to be removing startup items on some people. People are unaware and simply think the programs no longer works and or think the program killed their anti virus. It removes the parasite, but leaves less advanced users without their startup items. I restored mine, not a *huge* deal, but a pain.

So has this problem been fixed or what? Did i delete startups that i needed or wat? I am not near my computer for another week or so and i didn't have time to check b4 i left so I don't no if it's fixed or not.
