Spyware Removal:aboutblank

I followed the special removal procedures for removing spyware, as a result of having malicious software redirect my browser to aboutblank setting. I was able to run all the programs specified except for microsoft malicious software removal because I was unable to download the service packet 2. It tells me that the update process fails whenever I tried to download it. The only noticeable error that I have now is the webpage redirect to a blank page. Amazing...that killed it! I appreciate you taking the time to look at that. As far as the Bitdefender and Panda scans, I will post logs as soon as I can effectively run those programs. My laptop shuts itself off to keep from overheating, and I'm having difficulty running a complete scan with Bitdefender. Thank you again for your help.
