spyware removal in normal mode

Hello there!

I have been following Major Attitude's instructions to remove spyware. I am not done yet but here is what I bumped into:
- I could not download about:Buster properly. I get an error message when I try to run it.
- I could not connect to internet (dial-up) when in safe mode so I could not scan with the recommended online softwares.
- So I scanned in normal mode with Bitdefender and I found that it seems that you can get Trojan viruses from there! Bitfender removed all viruses from my PC except one (wgqifrc.exe). I managed to remove it manually from the system 32 folder (by going to safe mode then back to normal mode). Then I performed another scan to make sure I had removed it and I got another Trojan that could not be removed either (rswpner.exe). I did the scan 3 times and 3 times it detected a new Trojan (last time was lxskmy.exe) that it could not remove. So I guess I downloaded a new Trojan at each new scan.

Can that be?

You can't get Trojans from Bitdefender. What you are seeing is the Virus/Trojan mutating.

If you have completed all the step in the READ ME FIRST sticky.

- Download HijackThis 1.99.1

- Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

- Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

- Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

- Run HijackThis and save your log file.

- Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).
