Spyware Remover Question

When running Noadware Software, it reported that, among other adware and spyware objects and files, my PC had the W32.mimail.c. Following this, I ran Xsoftspy, Ad-aware 6.0 and Spyware Eliminator, along with a full virus scan using McAfee Virus Scan (which is up to date). Although all spyware software programs found some adware and spyware, the only program that came up with the W32.mimail.c was Noadware. Should I assume Noadware is correct and all the others missed picking up on the worm..............or is something else going on here?

    Thanks for any feedback.

Suzeq Hi and welcome.... personally I would remove NoAdware quickly as its basically junk! to remove anything you have to pay, its also know to come upwith false positives so you have to register and pay to have the found item removed...

check out these others that can be found to say free sypware removal...

what I would do suzeq is to uninstall NoAdware and run AdAware then goto Housecall and do an online virus check ( its free ) if nothing comes up your most likely free of any virii but just to be certain get this tool and run it as it removes w32.mimail

as a final sugestion please read up on this as its a great insite into keeping your PC safe from nastys.... http://www.majorgeeks.com/vb/showthread.php?t=25834

plus grab yourself a copy of SpywareBlaster as it helps spyware from being installed in the first place.. since I installed it last year I only get the odd harmless tracking cookie from online stores and forums now.

Thank you so much, Halo, for all your help and information. I will definitely follow through with all of it; however, I am having difficulty getting into the free scan area at Housecall - it seems to be hung up. Tried it first thing this morning and then again in the late afternoon. Will keep trying however! Thanks again for so much information and such a timely response to my questions.
