Spyware Terminator 2 vs. Spyware Doctor How do they compare?

I was cruising around Majorgeeks looking for something that would compliment Avast well. I love Spyware Doctor, I've been using it for several months and, excluding PC Tool's Firewall, never had a problem with it or any other PC Tool product. However I was surfing MGs file database and found a link for Spyware Terminator and it commented how in the free edition you get 100% real time protection. And while I like SD I can't help but want full real time protection. But thats like saying a apple is a fruit.

So my question is how does Spyware Terminator's real time protection measure up in it's own right, and how does it's real time protection stack up against that of Spyware Doctor's?

 

I've been using Spyware Terminator for about 3 years now and I also have Avast!. Personally, I like it better than PCTools Spyware Doctor. They play together nicely and I've had no problems.

The real-time protection works well and doesn't bother you too much, in my experience, at least.

 

I have never used Spyware Doctor for any amount time personally, and my only knowledge about it is when I work on other people's system with it installed, but I have seen Spyware Doctor completely cripple a system and make so slow as to be basically un-useable. I have a bit more experience with Spyware Terminator, and I must say I think it's a MUCH better product. It also has the option to integrate Clam Antivirus in to it which is a plus; I've never used that feature, but it's there. On the whole, I have never been really impressed with the whole PCTools catalog of software, but that's just my personal opinion (the word "bloat" comes to mind when I think of PCtools).
