spyware?

I am trying to download and run cwshredder. I am not having a problem downloading, but once I get it downloaded I cannot open the file.

Like the other guy said, maybe it just needs to be unzipped. But when I opened the application, it instantly notified me that it would use my PKUNZIP Express to open it...doesn't it tell you that you need to do that?

Does it give you a reason for not opening? Does it tell you that you're missing the .DLL file MSVBVM60, for example? You need to download the .DLL, something I did by looking for it on Google and finding a fairly reputable source. (Can't remember where. -.-)

And, I've heard the new variant of it hijacks anti-spyware programs before they have a chance to open...so maybe you can't run it because you have the new variant? If that's the case, then maybe you can use the new 'CoolWWWSearch.SmartKiller (v1/v2) MiniRemoval' tool, downloadable on this site under 'Spyware Tools' in the left taskbar...I'm such a n00b, I don't know how to link on this forum! *sigh* Hope I helped.
