spyware??

    Hi I am running windows me

    I have the WBEM\WINMGMT.EXE flag coming up on my norton firewall at least once each time i am on the computer... could some one please explain the purpose of this deal.........

    also. i ran ad-aware scan 6.0 and i have tracking cookie that was on my machine that says it was last accessed at 6 am when the computer was off...... how is this possible???

    I don't believe it requires internet access so just tell your firewall not to allow it and to always use the same option. But you should allow it access to your local network.

    Don't know about the cookie time but perhaps someone's clock is off. Or was it from a different day? You only said 6am.

    will look into it........

    i spoke to few friends .... and stated that ad-aware will not let things affect the registry without notifying me........(correct???)

    just a little concerned.

    Not necessarily. The purchased version with Ad-Watch will protect some aspects or your registry.
