just wanted to know which spyware programs are the best and which one do u guys think is better between spyware doctor 3.2, or spy sweeper 4.0.

There is also Microsoft AntiSpyware, Ad-Aware SE Personal, Spybot S&D and SpywareBlaster. SpywareBlaster prevents spyware and other bad thing from getting into your computer.

I think SpySweeper is better than Spyware Doctor

Spysweeper 4.0 is so much faster than 3.5

I've gotten luck and found some packages mis-marked with Window Washer for $16 bucks. $60 at most stores.

Another neat feature Spy Sweeper has is the simple ability to monitor your Start Up programs thus speeding up shut-downs and reboots.

 

I use this to,but we will have to start paying for it soon I think. Mine says it expires in 32 days(July 31).

 

Counterspy is also excellent antispyware software.

It's features are almost identical to Microsoft's Antispyware whose technology was developed by the Giant antispyware software company. Because of contractual arrangements between Giant and Counterspy prior to Microsoft's purchase of Giant, Counterspy gets all of Microsoft antispyware updates (until July 2007) as well as developing its own updates. Well worth the $19 price.

There is an update to MS antispyware that increases the beta time to December (I think). It also fixes a few other issues.

Also, one note:

MS antispyware only works on NT based machines I.E. 2000 and XP (2k3?)

Giant antispyware (which I still have a trial for...hidden within the crypt that my hdd has become....supports 98 and ME along with 2k and xp....

Since MS does not support 98 and ME, it blocks the installation of this. Though, I wonder if there is a way to fix this.....wheels are turning....
