SpywareGuard question

The last update for this was in '04, I read some other posts about this and they say it is okay. It still seems a little odd to me so is this program really that good and effective? or is there a better real time protection against spyware and such?

 

It used to be really good, but now, as you say, it is so out of date that you would be better off with something like spywareblaster

 

I do have that program installed so my next question may not be very intelligent. I am looking for a free real time protection program. Does the free version of spywareblaster offer free real time protection?

If not, what program is recommended?
