    Hey,

I just bought an OCZ 120GB Vertex 3 SSD and installed windows onto it. Everything was fine when I entered windows and I did my regular program downloads, e.g Firefox etc.

Now, on my second boot up I just get an error message saying, 'insert bootable disk'. I've checked all physical connections, is there anything SSD specific that I'm missing or have I got a dead drive already...?

    Thanks,
    H3nchman.

Crap! All I can say is check your cabling, replace it. It's very rare that it happens but it does. Other than that I can't help.

So there's no BIOS or OS settings specific to SSD's I might have missed?

Yeah, checked my cabling, just sucks that I have to return a brand new drive that I just setup. Will see how they handle my return.

Did you try it on another SATA channel? Since it worked already, I'd say it's history.

I did try it on another SATA channel. What's done is done, I guess. Just called the guys at MegaBuy, they said they'd be happy to do an exchange. Does anyone know if these drives in particular have a high failure rate? If so, then I'll choose a different SSD.
