I have an Acer Aspire One that I picked for travel, the SSD is full thinking it is time to format and reload the OS, my question does anyone know if when I format it will it go back to its original state with full capacity?

    Hi

Yes if you reformat it will give you back your full capacity, maybe worth adding an external HDD to save your docs etc too to save the main HDD, SSDs are great and I have two of them but early PCs have small size SSDs sadly and not enough space to save multiple extra files etc too them.

What OS you using? just a thougth as some tweaks for SSDs are around as in this HERE

Thanks for the reply it has XP home on it, it also has "Flash Point" an amazing speed fix. I have been putting this off as I reloaded my main machine awhile back. My network was setup on the main and since everything worked fine after the load I left well enough alone, when I do the lap top over I will have to redo the network all access to the router went bye bye with the last reload on the main machine. Will have to bite the bullet soon and hit the reset!
