ssearch Hell

Am having the worst time removing ssearch. Ran Adaware, Spybot, and Hijack this and cleaned up a number of things, but can't get rid of ssearch redirecting the home page. Have read postings regarding the removal, but does anyone know specifically what process is running, where it is loading from, what is it called, do any of the available removers specifically remove this hellish hijacker?

Client is away for a few weeks. When she gets back I will follow the instructions posted here: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407, but I would like to know exactly what to look for.
