ssid broadcast

    I had a firmware request from some company wanting me to execute .chk.
    I did not.
    My laptop which has always responded to the router seems to only connect when I broadcast SSIID.
    I could not get connected so reset it to factory settings. Conncectivity is erratic and only with SSID enabled
    Any ideas?

    Unless there is a specific Network that is set witj fixed logon. There is a need to SSID

    in order to logon and maintain a stable connection.

    I am ssid enabled and working now.
    Strange that I was not enabled before and working for years.
    Thank you as I have heard arguments both ways.
