Hey guys, I just bought and installed a ST Lab PCI ATA133 IDE CARD.

When I started up, I went into windows and installed the drivers, which went fine.

But when I plugged a CD-ROM drive into it and booted up, after the usual screens, it came to say CD-Drive 3: Sony [model number] then it searched the floppy drive and then gave a Non System Disk, Insert Book Disk And Press Enter (or thereabouts). So, I checked the BIOS to see if it had defaulted to boot from a floppy, but it was still on hard drive, so I tried it again, and got the same error. Can anyone help?!?

    Thanks

The detailed name in device manager is:

Silicon Image SiI 0680 Ultra-133 Medley ATA Raid Controller

And if you need to know, my motherboard is:

    ASUS P4B533

i dont think it supports raid, that may be the conflict, but i dont know

    PLEASE HELP!

I bought one of these cards as well. My problem is that my PC will not boot when I have a drive connected to the cable and set as Master. When I have one set to Slave, the PC boots up but it does not recognize the drive. It doesn't see it in any of the Hardware management/admin utilities (Win 2K). Driver is loaded. Card says it's working correctly in Device Manager but doesn't mention that anything is attached to it (a 2GB WD drive, 4GB Fujitsu drive, an 80GB Maxtor drive, or a 160GB Seagate drive). All 4 drives are identified correctly in the RAID setup (F3 during DOS startup screens) but none of them are recognized in Windows.

Anyone know where to get support for this product? The ST-Lab.com site doesn't offer much.

    Thanks!

The only way i can get anything working, is have one hard disk on the primary channel of the card (master) then 1 master cd/dvd drive on the secondary channel. those two work, but i cant get anything else to work.

I've given up on trying to get mine to work in my old PC. It's a Soyo motherboard with an AMD K6-2 450 MHz processor on it. Old, I know. I wanted to turn it into a file server with a couple of drives RAIDed together but I don't think it's going to happen.

I'm planning on getting a new system in the next couple of months, so maybe I'll throw it in there when I get it.
