Standby help!

I recently had a comp crash and changed my HD to other comp and it worked fine and all and it even loaded up fine used Driver fix program to update all drivers and installed everything up to date but once i left for work i put my comp into standby and now it wont come out of it even if i turn comp off....and reboot it... not sure why it wont come out i had to restart it random times yesterday and it loaded and fine and fast. All i really want to know is how to get it out of standby without not screen coming on and only thing ive seen that is lighting up it my keyboard and power supply is green and also my comp button and CD drive is active once i start or try to start comp and fan is running.
