    Hi

What Windows version and service pack are you using?

If you are getting BSODs then what is the error code as this may or will likely link to the issue, which then can help with the fix.

If you boot into Safe Mode (F8 at boot) do you get the same BSOD with using standby?

    Hi

with win32k.sys listed as a possible cause, the fault could be a number of things so would really need to know the BSOD code/text to narrow it down, and with some BSODs forcing a reboot the message gets lost so enable the functions here to allow the code to be captured http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/bsod.php

Messgages could be PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_TO, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_TO and BAD_POOL_CALLER with each of these the fix maybe different from a bad driver, to memory timings or overclock being too high.

When the PC BSODs again, please do post the code.
