start button switch

i changed my start button to say something else about a month ago. Now, it has changed back. How did it do this? I didn't use system restore. Any ideas?

 

but i havent even opened the explorer.exe file in over a month. I even turned off the windows file protection on it, so it shouldn't have done anything... any other ideas? it has had a couple of problems a little bit ago, does it check explorer.exe when it has a blue screen?

 

Have you done any auto-updates/service packs?

 

yes, i just recently did 5. Would it have replaced it?

 

did you disable windows file protection? If not it will detect explorer.exe has been screwed around with and replace it with the orig.

 

it's disabled and all explorer.exe backups are deleted anyway. Plus, i think it would have done it sooner rather than a month later. I think Iesrae has something with the windows update idea.
