Start menu toolbar ?

I was told that "start" on the toolbar menu can be changed;if so can anyone explain.

 

Changed to do what? In terms of function or looks?

plodr, thank for the info...still have an issue with finding the "explorer exe" file using the resouce hacker. I keep getting message that the file cant be found...more help needed,thanks

This looks like a video of ElderGeeks instructions.

The file is explorer.exe if you don't have extensions showing it will just show as explorer.

 

The more I read about this, I see that the instructions in the eldergeek link and my video have been found to cause problems with Windows update. This link has the modified version which eliminates the registry edit. You MUST be sure to backup the original explorer.exe file because you will be overwriting it. I would make two copies before doing anything.

 

Thanks alot guys for you all's input. Finnally, got it to work. Ran the steps several time until I realized'spybot"was blocking my changes on the restart. Had to disable spybot and all went well.:wave
