"START UP" files

    i downloaded the latest AVG file and put it in my "start up" file. when i boot up and my desktop is shown, there across half the screen is the file.
    how do i move the file and put it somewhere else?

    Assuming the file you have put in the startup folder is just a shortcut you can right click on it and then under the run line bring up the drop down list and select run minimised.

    it's the Windows popular function called "Drag 'n Drop". Simply click on the file once and hold down the button. Then move the mouse and you'll see that the file moves together with it. Move it over a folder and release the mouse button and the file will be transfered into that folder. Otherwise, right click on the file and from the menu choose "copy" or "cut". Then go to the place where you want the file to be, right click and choose "paste".
