Good Day All - Running Win XP Home Ed. Had a problem and used Scandisk to check/repair. Now PC will not startup and I get the following when I try to start...
"Windows Could Not Start Because the Following File is Missing or Corrupt"
    <windows root>\system32\hal.dll

Am I in trouble??? Is there an easy repair?

As always, your help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Acktom
