start up problems

    i start up. box comes up with 3 options. have to clik one and hit enter.. windows comes up BUT it wont let me go anywhere until i have cleared the address bar and type in a new addy and hit enter. then all is fine till i restart .. help

    one is letters and number. one has to do with cd rom. the other with dvd rom.
