start-up utility

Is there a utility tool that tells me what is running in my task manager.

 

msconfig can be used to control what programs start on boot. To use this goto start run msconfig.

Msconfig isn't included with Windows 2000, and it doesn't always list everything.

A more accurate tool is AUTORUNS, however my favourite is STARTUP CONTROL PANEL.

 

A second vote for Autoruns, and I also use SCP; but don't take that as me agreeing with sleepy boy up there
