my problem has been happening from the very start

when i start up my computer it turns on for like a second that turns off, turn on then turns off, does that for either a short period of time or up to a couple of minutes, also when the computer goes into standby, it doesnt turn back on, unless u spend 10 mins stuffing around with the on and off button

i dont know whats wrong with it, but its starting to get really annoying

    can someone help plzzz

    Hi

First off as a new build, I would reset CMOS, do this with the PC off and take out the motherboard battery for say 10mins, then pop back in and enter the BIOS and make sure date/time and any boot order is correct.

Then you have the job of double checking all the connections inside the PC to make sure that they are connected firmly and correctly, and that the motherboard power connectors are all plugged in, generally you need the 4pin 12v power cable, plus if your graphic card has an extra power connection plug that in too.

Check the front case panel to motherboard wire connections are all correct.

    Other things to try:

Disconnect the CD?DVD drive and boot directly to the HDD (can change the boot order in the BIOS for this but also pull the power cable from the CD/DVD drive.

Take out all of your RAM and then put only one stick in and see if it boots, try each one individually to see if you have any bad ram, also run a ram testing app, and Memtest86+ is good for this.

    Hi

Halo's suggestions are superb. I simply wanted to add that that looks like a very nice board for the price!

thanks halo, its running perfectly awesome, i owe u heaps, also to mcsmc the board is very good, it has sata 3 and also usb3.0 technology with also turbo boost for normal usb 2.0 connections, I would have to say the only bad thing about it is it doesnt have sli capabilities only crossfire, and if you wanted to get a similar board to this that has sli, its the p55a-ud5 motherboard which costs 100 more.
