StartPage-DC trojan removal

Hi all ....I'm new around here and just getting familiar w/ this site. I somehow got this stupid virus last week and I'm having a really hard time getting rid of it. I've tried using symantec (http://symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.startpage.c.html) removal process, but never could find the "HandleSystem"="%System%\handlesys.exe" in the registry. Is this another form of the virus? All help would be greatly appreciated.

first of don't worry your in safe hands
right
the ("HandleSystem"="%System%\handlesys.exe") is added by the virus to this location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

go to run ......... type in regedit and you and will see the below address HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
then follow the tree structure to the correct location
when you get there
do as the link you posted says on how to remove the trojan horse
any probs let us know

Thanks for responding simonk! Here's the problem, though, and what I was attempting to explain...I found the correct folder, but the variables were different. I could not find the "HandleSystem"="%System%\handlesys.exe" horse and was scared to guess and change my registry. I saw a couple of "%rootsystem%" lines but from what I could tell they weren't executable files. Do you think that it could be a different type of virus and therefore have a different variable b/c the symatec is a start.page.c and not a start.page-dc? Thanks again....
