Startup Sound

I'm on Win2k and my windows startup sound isn't playing! It used to play, I dunno what happened. If I go into the sounds and test it it works, all my other sounds work, like it beeps or the sound it makes when you empty the recycle bin. Just the startup sound doesn't work! Grrr, anyone know whats wrong?

 

So, how do I fix it then? And why would this have to do with only my startup sound? All the other sounds work..

 

No driver/resource conflicts, all i've changed is a new via 4-in-1 but i think it did this before that... And in case you havn't heardm IT'S ONLY THE STARTUP SOUND THAT DOESN'T PLAY AT STARTUP, ALL THE OTHER SOUNDS PLAY, AND ALL MY MUSIC/GAME SOUNDS WORK! Now, once you've heard that, are you sure it's a resource conflict? I mean ,if my sound card wasn't working then no sounds would play, right?

Yes I've done some tweaks and I use TweakUI. WHat could I have done that broke it? I Know the sound is they're because if I go into the options and test the sound it works.

 

O! HAHA. That's exactly what I changed. The beep on errors thing. I didn't like that for certain errors my comp would beep. So if I recheck that it'll work then? Why does it break the startup sound?
