Hi, when i startup my computer it takes awhile for my Linksys SpeedBooster Router G Model wmp54gs to start up. My desktop takes like 8 seconds for everything to startup and you can do everything however my connection wont start until another 30 seconds or so. Is it doing something? or can i make it go faster. I try clicking on the wireless network icon but it can only be accessed after the 30 seconds of waiting. I heard something about Ip configuration or something.

I would assume that the "IP Configuration something" is you setting up your computers IP address rather than having it automatically assigned to you. This might speed it up a bit. I would suggest calling Linksys for a walkthrough on this: LINKSYS HELP LINE. If this dosen't speed it up, I'm really not sure what else will, so hopefully there is someone to give you better advise than myself if this dosen't work! :)

    Best of Luck!

I'm kinda confused. You turn on both the router and the computer?

I'd turn on the router, wait 1 minute, then turn on the computer. Also, I'd never turn off the router.

Though, for your description, this seems to be the case. Bare with me, if I'm confused! :)

At present, I can't think of anything that could speed this issue up. But, 30 seconds to obtain an IP via your router, through DHCP isn't all that bad. Lame excuse for an answer, yes. :)
