I have been instructed to set up a static IP to get a web site. To have a gigatribe account past 30 days my router must be changed and a staic IP address is required. My question is "Will this mess up my wireless connections I have now?" Is there any problem with following their instructions to set up this connection? Thank you

Who instructed you to set up a static IP to get a web site ?
Get in touch with your ISP first and see what they have to say !

If poster wants to host there own website from home, they would need a static ip on there account. Shouldn't affect your wiresless setup but hard to say with out seeing exact instructions they gave you. Most people just have a webhost host a site for them, its usually easier to have them manage the hosting, and cheaper too usually.

Many ISP's will NOT provide you with a Static IP Address.
The ones that do, will demand you upgrade to a Commercial account at a much higher price.
    Good Luck,

Not always the case, i know my isp offers home users static ips that are using voip, so it depends on the isp and area. Good luck!
