Statistics Survey.

Hi everyone, I have a survey about eating breakfast as my final project in statistics. I need everyone to please take this super short survey, it only is 5 questions at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WJYXV89

My topic is "Do you eat breakfast?". I need to find out if the statement "only 44% of Americans eat breakfast" is statistically accurate. Your help will be greatly appreciated. (Sorry no cash, I'm broke )

Thank you to the people who took the survey so far, all of 14 of them. I am grateful I even got participants but come on guys, this thread got over 160 views but only 14 took the survey. It is free, no spam and your helping a young working female I need at least 40 individuals to have a normal distribution. (please don't take it more than once)

Anybody else who took stats have any ideas to get more participants?

I took the survey and answered "no" based on I don't think a Snickers bar and large Coke purchased at a quickie mart qualifies as "breakfast". :-D

Sometimes, if it's been a tough day, I have another bowl at night.

I took the survey a couple of days ago.

Thank you everyone for your help , the final count is 44. I have reached my goal number and then some. I can now start my paper and it should be done in a week or two. I am not sure if I should post my results in this thread or start a new one, can one of the moderators inform me on the procedure?

 

After analyzing the survey I found out most people like breakfast (59.6%) and eat it everyday (45.2%). The one major reason some people don't eat breakfast is because they are not hungry in the mornings (40.6%). I hear it's not a good idea to work on an empty stomach. A quick and healthy shake would suffice because hunger pangs mid-mornings stink

As to the survey, it is not entirely accurate because it is skewed to a certain demographic, which must remain anonymous. However, since more than 40 people were surveyed, the sample can be assumed to be a normal distribution. So far most of my paper is already done, I just need to do some calculations and then it will all be over. Again, I like to thank everyone who helped.
