Steam Problom

I'm going to try type this out best i can. When ever I start the Steam program my screen will turn off and then quickly turn back on in a window of about 5 seconds then my Desktop will be in a very low resolution something like 640x700 and the color will be in 16bit instead of 32 bit then I have to change it all and even then if i start a game or click on anything in the stem program it will go back to the low res and 16bit colors. then if i start a game the screen will go black and say "input not supported" and go to the main menu and even then i still have problems like the screen will turn on and off through out the game. please get back to me soon

 

try updating the drivers for your video card. it will have something to do with this

ok, i think i might have heard of this before. try right clicking the steam program, then click properties & select compatability mode & choose windows 2000.
