    I'm getting an error message saying stepelsy.dll didn't load. Any ideas?

    Done that but it still persists. I've googled stepelsys and get nothing but 'steeples' so I can't help but believe that it is not a legitimate something my computer needs. It doesn't seem to be doing anything except popup a message box on startup.

    you say stepelsy.dll here.. is that the exact file name?

    But then you use another spelling...

    If you have worked thoroughly thru the R&R that TimW linked you to then you should then be creating a thread in malware to attach the 4 requested logs so that malware can truly be ruled out. More information can be derived from your logs, so that's the best course of action for you now.
