why hello again frankzro lol. ah yes, i feel this post calling me......:D

anyways, like i said before 7600GT SLI isnt worth it so definitely wait and get one 7900GT. You may not even end up needing to buy another 7900GT since Vista is soon to be released (maybe, could get delayed....again but not likely) and DirectX10 cards will start coming out. A single 7900GT (the KO edition is the best 7900GT, good choice) will do just great on anything today and unless you want to run Oblivion at max settings, a second wouldnt be needed really (unless you NEED to get 100+ FPS in every game lol)

I am kinda curious tho why u arent going with Intel on this build  The cheapest Intel Core 2 Duo runs about $250 and comes close to the $1000+ FX-62. Yea, a motherboard would cost more but in the long run it may be worth the extra $200.

You definitely can't go wrong with Corsair ram and a Lian-Li case and the PSU(s) look good too. (SLI certified, good man) Didnt know Corsair made PSus but if they are anything like their RAM you shouldnt be disappointed.

Baack to the CPU, i now see that you also have a cooler so thats another reason to stick with AMD i guess.

Everything looks great, nice build my man.

gonna have to post here, i feel the need to defend the 7600gt :)

i dunno where viper_boy and the others heard that 7600gt's in SLI wont work, but i can assure you it does. after reading a previous thread where viper_boy and another member said 7600gt's in SLI is no good i decided to do a little research to see if thats true. turns out it does work. standard 7600gt's in SLI wont do any better than a single 7900gt but a carefully overclocked 7600gt's in SLI will bring it on par with a single 7900gt. your MSI 7600gt has been factory overclocked to 580MHz core and 1500MHz memory. run these in SLI mode and you should get a stunning performance from games.

however theres a little problem with the MSI. if you look at the card you will see that its a high profile card meaning it takes up two PCI spaces. now if u was to go SLI, the second card will cause a problem. because it takes up two PCI spaces, you will lose the first PCI slot on the motherboard. this might cause you problems if ur planning to add more cards.

anyways, the rest of the hardware u have chosen is looking good.

I hope your right, it would really suck if the 7600gt is better as a standalone card. I would like to hear some ofthe others opinions on the matter to.

According to Tom's Hardware the 7600GT does run in sli and here are the benchies if your interested.

I would go with the 7900GT single card solution myself and then have the ability to add a second card later if more power is needed - it just makes more sense. :)

Many of the 7900 cards have been plagued with manufacturing problems so take that into consideration as well.
