hey, i posted a problem about a month ago but got no reply, thought id try again


i get this message while opening a few of my favourite programs:

read error occured at address 1c103099 of module 'mciqtz32.dll' with 00000000.


the problem started as far as i know when i installed directX 9c.


any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

 

have you tried updating your video card drivers?

 

Hi, thanks for the reply...

i update my software on a regular basis, so i cant see a problem there...

and ive been put off installing service pack 2 because of all of the trouble ive been hearing about it all over the internet( apps not working, etc...).

i do use acdc with picaview but its always seemed fine.

ill uninstall it, but i think im the first with this problem and a reinstall might be the only way.
