Firstly I want to thank those that offered help last time I had issues with this blasted thing. I finaly broke down and sent the POS off to be fixed now its back and while the os recognizes that the network adapter is there (hidden but there and device maneger says its working) nothing else seems too. I downloaded the drivers and the diagnosic provided by dell, nothing. network places says there is no hardware but there is. I really want to toss the thing into the highway.

As far as I know it is just the wired adapter no wireless. device maneger lists it as Broadcom 440x Intergrated controler. the drivers I downloaded and ran are the matching ones from the web page.

the comp is a dell inspiron 1100. the motherboard was just replaced last week or the week before. im pretty sure that I got it on line after the replacement but I cannot sware to it. this is not my laptop so I have no idea what was done to it in the week or two it wasnt in my care.
