    Hi Guys,
My C: is 70~GB (ssd, out of 256). It now has 8kb of free space - yes 8 kb !
After installing Windows and all needed software, it was all occupying around 15GB.
In the 3~ years of use, I did my best to install everything on other drives. I know there is registry and all that, but still, it`s no about it.

It doesn`t matter how much space I free, it`s been very soon taken by something. The Roaming folder being the largest (up to 40GB). Even after deleting and cleaning up several Gigs, almost immediately it piles up with who knows what.

What can I do to free up space, how to locate long unused files in Windows, Roaming and other folders and safely delete them ?

    Appreciating any useful help,
    Thanks

There will be another partition or partitions after C. What is the situation there? We can possibly reduce whatever is there and add to C. Go to Disk Management and post a screenshot. If C has grown a lot lately, and if you are on Win 10, part of the reason will be Windows keeping a copy of the system as it was before the last update. Always say what Windows version you are using when posting.

    Windows 7, I don`t update Win 7, ever

There is another partition, but on this Samsung pro 840 ssd, as long as I remember, it`s impossible to play with partitions.
Also, it doesn`t matter how much I designate to C:
It simply collects lots of garbage, and after some time it will fill any amount. Before last format (3~years), I had 40GB on C: so now even with almost twice as much, still collects garbage.
I think Maxthon browser is one of those whose collects garbage, but after all, is there a tool to remove all those unneeded files ?

OK, if you don't want to enlarge C then start by running Disk Cleanup, which you will find on the Properties of C. Be sure to click Cleanup System Files while there. There are third party cleanup tools available too but let's see what Win 7 can do on its own. Maybe you just need to run it occasionally.
