    Hi all,

Not sure if this is in right section or not.

Sometimes i use yahoo to chat to family and friends. Sometimes i just log on to check a few things then log right off again. However, i have been informed by my brother that he uses a website called http://detectinvisible.com/ and can tell when im really offline or invisable. I know they must bypass something in yahoo to tell you this but i have no idea what it is.

I hear there are a few websites that now offer this and wondered if there was a way i could go online and appear offline should i decide without people knowing im really online. There probably isnt but you never know. I'm not really sure how they do it. Seems nothing is private anymore.

I've tried all sorts of suggestions but it seems nothing works. Dodgey Yahoo again.

    Thank you all

    Andy

I would download and run Malware Bytes:

    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5756

Malware Bytes will catch and delete most malware and phishing programs. The basic version is free.

Before running Malware Bytes, open your Internet browsers (Explorer, Mozilla, etc.) and click on the "Safety" tab to clear all browsing history. Check all the delete option boxes and uncheck the "preserve favorites" option. This helps prevent the malware from reinstalling itself after the Malware Bytes scan/removal is complete.

    Hope this helps. :)
