Stop Error

Greetings!

I downloaded new Omega drivers for my Radeon 9550 ...
Deleted the old drivers. (using DriverCleanerPro)

went to install the new ones.. computer froze.

Upon restarting, I recieved an error message
BAD_POOL_HEADER
STOP 0x00000019 (0x00000020, 0x805767E6, 0x80576A7E, 0xE853006A)

It does start up in safe mode.
I looked on the M$ site for that error.. couldn't find it..


I am running XP home
Athlon 64 3300+
1 gig ram

No new hardware
Omega drivers are the only new software..

Ok, thanks.. will try that tonight after work.

Any ideas on what may have caused this?

Wouldnt think a driver update would cause this sort of thing.

Driver updates can cause all sorts of hell...
After the microsoft site suggested to buy a new pool heater (love those spell checks), i found out that the indexing service may also cause this error. To turn it of, got to start->run, type services.msc and press enter. Now look for the 'Indexing service'. Right click on it and select properties. Set the startup type to disabled and click OK, reboot.
If this does not fix it: completely remove your graphics card, e.g. delete it from the device manager and then running DriverCleanerPro. Reboot. If windows boots with no drivers installed, it is clearly a driver issue. If windows booted, reinstall the old drivers.
