I have a guy completely obsessed with me. I had text messages from him on my phone and magically one day all his text messages were gone. All my other texts were in tact. So i looked through the internet to see if it's possible to delete already sent texts. During this time I cam across a video on youtube how to hack someone's cell and it has me extremely concerned. I saw a program on cnet called Charav. According to cnet this is the #1 spyware software for blackberry and other mobiles. Anyone have more info?

I have been using majorgeeks for years to get up to date info on all my questions but I don't see any info here for that particular program. OR....can you recommend a good program I can get for my blackberry.

Hi. Honestly, I would start by calling your cell phone carrier and finding out if they can trace any information back to the deletions.

They may also be able to tell you how to scan it for malware.

Most likely your best bet is going to be to restore your phone to factory settings and not saving any of your texts.

Cells can be hacked from what I've heard (and it's a growing concern), but I have no idea how although I'd suspect they come from texts or emails you have received. As we are primarily a computer based forum, there may or may not be someone here who can give you more answers...

    Good luck.

I went through something similar with my daughters phone and spyware. Tried working with Sprint first but it became clear all they had to offer was resetting the phone to factory settings

    Backup your contacts.
Transfer personla files, images to your computer.

Reset the phone to factory settings. Changer any passwords that others migt know.

That's the only sure way to remove anything that is there without your knowledge. If he did install something that he uses remotely you probably can't see that it's installed.

What's even creepier is that the developers of it ask for your email address AND email password when contacting them for customer support with the s/w....

Who is watching the watchers...... :eek More fool the people who download this sort of trash. Great that you posted the link, very interesting indeed. :)

This. My cell phone carrier can block select phone numbers, for a small fee. Might be worth the small amount of money to have some peace of mind?
