    Note:
1- Windows update service set to manual by default
2- Store and Edge are working
3- Windows update page in settings will show a blank page in Windows 10 it's normal
4- Option to disable Windows update service and protect it or enable it ( System can't run it but you can! ) Win10 only
5- If you disabled update service from this installer and want to enable it you must use this installer or the system won't be able to start it!
6- You need to restart after enable updates
7- Option to disable or enable Auto Update Store Apps Win10 only
    8- Thanks to Greatis Software
    9- Thanks to mxman2k
10- Command line switches: Auto install with Progress Only "/SILENT" Or Completely Silent "/VERYSILENT"
    Or
If you want to do a custom install /COMPONENTS="a\Enable" or /COMPONENTS="a\Disable"
    Or
If you want to enable or disable update service /COMPONENTS="b\EnableService" or /COMPONENTS="b\DisableService"
    Or
If you want to enable or disable Auto Update Store Apps /COMPONENTS="c\EnableStoreApps" or /COMPONENTS="c\DisableStoreApps"
    11- Enjoy!

    Additional notes:
1- What made me make this tool is to disable updates while store apps download/install works
2- I don't recommend disabling windows update service while it will be needed while installing some programs that will need to install needed updates if they not included in the system, also some Visual C++ do the same
3- This tool don't replace any system files, it's all about editing registry/Disabling services/editing permissions
4- If you will use this tool to disable updates you must use it to enable it before using any other tools, Same with other tools
5- If you have any suggestions or feedback let me know, all ideas are welcome

We can all ready stop windows 10 updates.

I am not going to use a tool that i don't trust.

And why are you using this in a VM and not a Windows environment seems a bit fishy.

I do all my tests in VM ( Clean install without any programs )

This tool as been said don't replace any files in the system, and it contain only one file that being used to edit service permissions

Plus i been making portable programs and repacks for 10 years, so you can ask all the people who trust me why they do all these years :)

Also majorgeeks already tested it, if they don't trust it, they wont share it

But for sure if you don't trust it then don't use it, there's plenty of other tools that disables updates

Apparently Tim and Jim like it. It is hosted on MG's.

It's not that i trusted the program it self. It's just i did not trust the link you provided. It looked kinda fishy to me that is why i reported it so it could get changed to a majorgeeks link.

It was recently hosted, so the OP asked that the link be fixed. I fixed it. If you use Facebook and have MG's as a friend, you will find that Tim just posted about it.

If you have anything of value to add, please do, otherwise not trying a program we approved doesn't bring much to the table.

    Updated to V1.9 :
    - Added option Set Windows Defender (Security) to Update Every 6 hours (Win8.1/Win10)
    - Added option Disable or Enable Automatic Device Driver Installation
    - Now you will be asked to restart after you enable or disable any option
    - Removed Disable Windows Update Service since it's not needed ( If you used it from older version, you need to enable it from same older version or you can keep using this version if you want) since the point is to disable windows updates without effecting Store/Defender/Edge
    - Now disabling update will auto hide Windows Update page in settings so it will now open Windows Defender (Security) instead and settings wont auto close anymore in Win10 1703 or newer (This option not present in older versions) as a workground for old Win10 Builds you can search for the settings you want or you can create a shortcut like ms-settings:windowsdefender more info here https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com...iding-pages-in-settings-with-windows-10-1703/
    - Added Disable or Enable Auto Downloading Language Related Components (Win10)

Hi Baltagy - I have run StopWinUpdates on several laptops with the latest windows 10 updates installed. When I attempt to re-activate windows updates, I am prompted with the WindowsUpdate screen however it is blank. This has happened on several of the laptops and a couple of desktops however re-running the app with the enable options does not fix the blank WindowsUpdate screen. How can I fix this? BTW thanks for helping us put a stop to automatic updates.
