I recently got a new/old computer for parts and now that I've taken what I needed I want to strip the rest of the hardware and store them in zip lock baggies for possible later use. Will that hurt the hardware in anyway?

Should be fine if bags are clean and dry.
I use old anti static bags or Glad plastic wrap.

At least it's quasi-waterproof. Just be careful.

or a tip: suck as much air out as possible, then use canned air and the straw to fill the bag up with the canned air. humidity inside the bag will be extremely low, and dewpoint should never be reached unless you do something stupid to the bag on purpose.

You could always use brown paper bags as an alternative if you are concerned about moisture/condensation forming inside of a plastic baggy. It really boils down to what kind of environment you'll be storing the hardware in...bleh.

Here is something I do when storing nuts and bolts in the cabinet drawers in the garage. Put in some rice to absorbe any moisture. I"ve never had a rusted bolt or nut even after being stored in the garage for years. Probably work for pc parts too.

OR the silica gel packets from shoe-boxes. Or a teabag filled with salt. :)
