Strange behavior when I boot or reboot XP Pro.

When I boot or re-boot the computer it acts like my spacebar or the shift and plus sign are stuck. Not both behaviors at the same time but one or the other. I could open MS Word, Excel, be on the internet address bar, or whatever and the behavior will be there until I hit enter.

I tried switching keyboards and tried a different mouse but that made no difference. If I hit enter it stops.

Anyone ever have this problem before or have any idea what it might be?

I figured out what it was. I changed the USB port the keyboard is plugged into and it hasn't done it since. Must be something wrong with that USB port.

Just wanted to post in case anyone else ever has the same problem.

 

Using USB devices, especially with keyboards can be tricky sometimes. Using that same keyboard in a different usb port, will reinstall that keyboard.
