Alright, folks. Here's a problem that's stumped many a Comp Sci major at my University. Hopefully somebody here has encountered this problem before, and can help me out, because boy is it frustrating

I am currently running a Dell rig. Here's just some general info.
    Pentium IV 2.6 Processor
    512 DDR RAM
128 MB ATI RADEON 9800 Vid Card
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Sound Card

Here's the problem. A lot of the times, I will mount a game .ISO to a virtual drive using Daemon Tools, and then installed. The game goes all the way through installation, and even publishes product information. At the very last second, one of two things happens (depending on the game):

    1. A message comes up on the installation window saying something along the lines of "The Installation was Interrupted. No Changes Were Made. Please Try Again."

    OR

    2. Installation just closes entirely with no message.

Nothing has been written to my hard drive after this happens, and no space is taken up. As far as I can remember, this has never happened with any non-ISO game, aside from one occassion. Doom III did the same thing, and it was on legit CD from EB Games.

Here's a list of games I've tried to install this way, that have all had the same conclusion:

    Age of Empires III
    Call of Duty 2
    Fable: The Lost Chapters
    Quake IV

The same thing happens every single time. I've tried installing while not connected to the internet, installing in safe mode, and changing the virtual drive. It doesn't seem to be bad data either, as the same files install and run fine on my roommates' PC's.

Hopefully, somebody has seen this before!

    Thanks in advance, guys!

    Hi and welcome to MajorGeeks.

I don't fully understand your post.

You say you mount the ISO, and then installed?

Please explain the procedure as that doesn't make sense to me.

Also, do you have the originals?

try using sd4hide ------mount the image with daemon tools click on sd4hide click on hide open what you want to and click restore this might help I know it works with a lot of games such as need for speed most wanted black ice

sd4hide is used to defeat copy protection.

If you own the game, you don't need it, nor should we be discussing it here!
