Strange Internet Explorer Problem

    I have a problem that I've never encountered before. My internet will go to some sites, but not others. Here in Major Geeks, if I go to the section to download spyware applications, it will take me to the page, but when I click on the link for the download it tells me it can't find the page.
    If I go to Google and search "Hijack This", I can not go to any of the pages that have the download.
    I can go to ESPN.com, but not RTsports.com.
    I can get to Google, but not to Catholic.org.
    I can't find the connection!
    Any thoughts?

    Sounds like your hosts file has been tampered with. Try Hostsman, you can easily open your hosts file and remove any entries, also you can simply click the disable button, reboot and see if things are working. If so, delete any entries in there and do the spyware tutorial.
