Strange Internet Problem

Well I got infected with a hole boat load of Spyware which I managed to remove unfortunetly there was one side effect. After I finished cleaning everthing none of my internet applications worked other then IE and MSN messanger, not even Firefox. I am completely baffled my only hint is that when I was cleaning up all of the spyware a popup appeared saying that you have been infected with spyware and the fallowing ports have been closed by windows. Note: I do not remember the port numbers nor do I know how to open or close them nor did I close or click ok on that popup, I simply ignored it assuming it was more spyware.

If anyone can help I would much appreciate it.

 

try uninstalling firefox, then reinstalling it.

 

Yeah I already tried that and it didn't help but like I said none of my other internet applications work ei: Kazaa, Emule, World Of Warcraft, Steam and so forth...

 

Do you have a third-party firewall installed, the SP2 (if installed) firewall active, or any other internet security programs?

 

Nope no firewalls nor have I installed SP2, I do have Spysweeper and Ad-Aware installed but thats about it when it comes to security software.

 

Can someone at least tell me how to check which ports are open and which are closed? and how to open them?
