Hi guys, I somehow always seem to find myself back at MajorGeeks with some sort of problem every few months. This time it is one that I really have no idea what is the culprit.

The Internet that I use has been acting strange. But only through Wireless Connections. The main family PC and the XBOX are perfectly fine and speedtest and pings have them at 10-20 ms and 70-90 mbps.

However, when I am on my fiances windows 8 laptop, the Internet hangs and sometimes says no connection when loading a website, if I keep reloading it will instsantly load sometimes, and sometimes it hangs and takes forever.

I tried Pinging a few sites through CMD and it came back normal most of the time, but when I typed an address into the browser than pinged while it was hanging up. The ping was timing out, and finally when it came back it was pinging at 3,000ms

I thought it might be Internet Explorer, so I can tried to install / uninstall and use Chrome/Firefox/Opera/IE and while they seem better at the very start it ends up still happening.

I really cannot figure it out, I reset my router, checked the router settings to make sure no conflicting IP connects, I have run both ADVANCED system care PRO and MalwareBytes PRO today and they came back clean and optimized.

I have Firewalls off and there is nothing else I can figure out.

ANY help would be great guys. I really need to get the wireless up to par, and btw it seems to be happening on my devices such as Android phone, the browser is loading very slowly when accessing websites.

No one has any idea's ?

Is there a way I can check if there is a conflict with the DNS i have NO idea what I am doing when it comes to DNS, i do have a static ip set for my xbox and desktop though, and the range of Ips is plenty for each device to take their own.

If I had to make a wild guess, your fiance has fubared their machine, which means you need to look at the info at the cleanup forum, and check for issues.

What is the make & model of the machine, what does Speccy show for network adapter, RAM & CPU? How fast is the Internet connection at the location you are using it, what make & model of wifi router? Is anyone hogging bandwidth with P2P, live streaming online of youtube, etc?

You can also try using The Windows Club Ultimate Tweaker to change the Network settings & change the QOS to 0, then see what happens.
